Some Highlights from the Episode
Harry Gibbs recounts his first reaction to the realization of Near Term Human Extinction:

When you come to an awareness of impending economic collapse and potential human extinction due to climate change, a vast abyss opens up between you and your fellow man. Suddenly all these things that you’re running around doing – trying to be responsible – people look at you like you’re crazy. When I first found out about these things, I wanted to evangelize; I couldn’t believe that people were going on living their lives; I wanted to shake people awake and tell them that we need to do something. But I then realized that people are very good at deluding themselves.
