Using videos, blogs, and public talks, my mission is to educate the public about the grave dangers that we face from abrupt climate change. After earning a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Engineering Physics and a Master of Science degree in Laser Optics, I worked for many years in high speed fiber optic communication systems switching devices, laser devices, and software quality assurance. As a part-time professor in the Geography Department at the University of Ottawa, I have taught climatology, meteorology, oceanography, and the geography of environmental issues. As a self-funded researcher at the University’s Laboratory for Paleoclimatology, I use data on abrupt climate system change in the past and present to predict near-term climate system changes.
